AMG #4 Placer Claim – Yavapai County, Arizona

This 20-acre placer mining claim is situated directly along American Gulch, a gold bearing tributary to Bumble Bee Creek, a well-known gold-bearing drainage in the Bradshaw Mountains of central Arizona. The creek has a long history of producing placer gold, with coarse nuggets and fine gold both reported from multiple stretches of the drainage. The claims cover a total of 20 acres of proven ground with direct access to sometimes year-round water but mostly seasonal, making them excellent for small-scale placer operations.

Access is via Bumble Bee Road through Bumble Bee, Arizona. From Bumble Bee, take Bland Hill Road the immediate left heading north from Bumble Bee for approximately 9/10th of a mile, where the road forks stay to the left and follow for approximately .35 miles. The road goes through the northern end of the claims. The claims are reached via High Clearance 4×4 vehicle or UTV. From the road the rest of the claim is accessible on foot with a short hike along the creek to various places on the claim. While motorized vehicle access to the claims themselves is excellent, the walk from the vehicle to the claim is manageable and provides good seclusion for mining activities.

Geology and Mineralization:

American Gulch is fed by numerous gold-bearing tributaries draining historic lodes such as the Bland mine and the various high grade quartz stringer veins that permeate through Bland Hill which is adjacent to the claims on the west side of American Gulch. The Bland Mine vein cuts across  the ridge of Bland Hill and several of the finger drainages that feed into American Gulch and is the primary gold mineral source to American Gulch. The drainage is composed of decomposed granite, schist, and quartz vein material, which continually replenishes the placer gravels. Historical reports and modern prospecting have shown that American Gulch and the Bumble Bee area consistently yields placer gold, with values concentrated in deeper gravel bars, inside bends, and bedrock exposures along the creek.

With the 1, 20-acre claim, buyers have the advantage of working a portion of American Gulch without competition from outside parties in a highly claimed and sought after placer area of Central Arizona.
